Yield: ~ 1 1/2 cups
Time: less than 30 minutes
1 navel orange
1/2 shallot, shaved
2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp cilantro, rough chop
Salt and Pepper to taste
Using a sharp knife, cut both ends off grapefruit and orange, remove all peel from both. Holding peeled grapefruit in one hand, carefully slice between membranes to remove clean wedges. Cut each wedge into 3-4 pieces, squeeze any juice left from grapefruit core and reserve. Repeat with orange. Combine grapefruit and orange pieces in small bowl with shallot and cilantro. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and each juice. Add salt and pepper to taste and adjust amounts oil and juice. Allow favors to meld for about 10 minutes before using.
